FC Halifax Town will be hopeful of leaving their bad run behind them with a win against Woking this Saturday.

As the players prepare for the fixture, in which they could end their run of 6 league games without victory, here is some news from around the Vanarama National League.

This weekend’s games fall upon Remembrance Day, and one club in particular are making a extra special effort for those in the Armed Forces.

Aldershot Town have donated 300 free tickets for their match against AFC Fylde.

“It is once again a great honour to help our local community recognise and commemorate our links with the British Army, and thank Armed Forces from around the world for the sacrifices they make on our behalf,” Aldershot Town Chairman Shahid Azeem said on the club website.

“We are delighted to be able to donate 300 free tickets to members of the Garrison and hope that they enjoy their day with us.”

The 7 National League sides still competing in The FA Cup discovered who they will be facing in the second round of the competition.

Town’s opponents for this weekend are one of them, Woking could meet Tranmere Rovers, who The Shaymen played previously, should both sides get past their respective ties in Bury and Peterborough.

AFC Fylde are set to host Wigan Athletic, who won the cup in 2013, but have fallen upon hard times since.

Maidstone United will travel to MK Dons having already dumped out one Football League team in Cheltenham Town.

The Ricoh Arena beckons for Boreham Wood, who were drawn with Coventry City, while Guiseley face either Mansfield Town or Accrington Stanley, who are due to play in a replay, and Gateshead will take on Luton Town.

Torquay United have signed Newport County’s Jazzi Barnum-Bobb on a short term loan.

The defender signed for the League Two outfit permanently last year after spending a few months at Rodney Parade on loan from Cardiff City.

The 22 year old signed for the Bluebirds after being released from Watford, and made his debut in the Carling Cup in 2014.

Tranmere Rovers have also been given a boost as Gerry McDonagh’s loan from Nottingham Forest has been extended.

The youngster will now stay at Prenton Park until after the Christmas period.

“Gerry is only 19 but you see from his attributes that he can help us, and we can help him in his development,” Rovers manager Micky Mellon told the club website.

“It’s important to keep the group moving forward and Gerry’s prolonged stay with the club will help with that.”

Bromley have signed jet setting attacker Tashan Francis-Adeyinka.

The 26 year old was signed from Swedish club Assyriska, where he was signed on a three year contract following a trial.

The former Crystal Palace academy man has also spent some time in Finnish football, having played for AC Oulu and FC Jazz.

And finally, Macclesfield Town have signed Forest Green Rovers striker Shamir Mullins on loan.

The deal will see the former hot prospect stay at the Moss Rose until January as he looks for consistent playing time, having found it hard to come by at Forest Green.

The former Southend United star has also spent time at Bromley, Thamesmead Town, Havant & Waterlooville and Chelmsford, scoring 14 and assisting 5 in 22 appearances for the latter club.
