On Saturday, FC Halifax Town welcome Tranmere Rovers to the MBi Shay Stadium in a FA Cup Fourth Qualifying Round clash that should be a great game. Here are some pre match stats for the build up to this fixture.

  1. Tranmere have had a slightly poorer start to their league campaign this season, finding themselves in 15th place in the league, which bodes well for Town in this FA Cup tie, who sit in 10th
  2. However, they have picked up a bit of momentum recently, having only lost one of their last five matches.
  3. Only two players have played every game for Tranmere this season, with goalkeeper Scott Davies and defender Liam Ridehalgh playing all 15 games for the Rovers.
  4. However, Liam Ridehalgh is the only player to have played every minute for the away side this season.
  5. Andy Cook is currently the clubs top goal scorer this season with four goals.
  6. However, he is also the most carded player in their side, with five yellow cards in the ten games he’s started.
  7. Tranmere have a handful of sending offs this season, with Steve McNulty, Jay McEveley and James Norwood being shown early marching orders this season.
  8. Tranmere have used 21 players this season from their squad.
  9. Their highest attendance so far this season was 7,172 against Chester, with their lowest being 1,835 against Wrexham.
  10. Tranmere have had four 0-0 draws this season, their most common result.
