FC Halifax Town striker Ben Tomlinson believes a play-off finish is realistic for the Shaymen this season, following a 0-0 draw against Wrexham at the MBi Shay Stadium on Tuesday.
Town travel to Boreham Wood this Saturday as they face their fourth London-based away game in a row.
Speaking about Saturdayโs match, Tomlinson said: โWeโve got to go into every game and try and get the three points.
โTheyโre another London team and theyโve got a good base of players around London, so theyโve got loads to select from but we will go to get the three points.โ
Tomlinson, who replaced Josh MacDonald in the 74th minute against Wrexham went on to speak about the recent trips down South: โItโs brilliant for me because my Missus lives in London, so I get to see her!
โTheyโre long days and weโve had a lot over the past month or so but thatโs part of being a professional footballer so we have to get on with it.โ
Boreham Wood currently sit one point behind Town in 10th position. When asked if this added an extra incentive to Saturdayโs game, Tomlinson said: โIt doesnโt really make a difference, weโve all seen the league and how tight it is.
โItโs irrelevant if we are playing someone from the top or the bottom or one place below us, weโve got to look at every game and get three points.โ
Tomlinson finished by speaking about the play-off positions: โOne win and youโre at the top and one loss and youโre falling away, if we can put a run of wins together then we will be right up there at the end of the season, there isnโt a reason why we wonโt be.โ
