Billy Heath believes that his side can push on from the victory at home to Bromley and gain another massive three points away to Ebbsfleet United this weekend as FC Halifax Town rack up the mileage on away trips this campaign.

โ€œWhat we are looking to do again is reach the heights of Saturday and most of the season that we have had already and just pick more points up if we can. It will be a difficult game no doubt especially after their win on Saturday,โ€ said Heath.

After the well hard fought third home win in a row on Saturday, the manager gave his review and spoke how his side showed character and resilience throughout the game even after going down to ten men.

โ€œI thought it was a magnificent performance. We went down to ten men early in the game. The way we responded showed our character which is big in this league. You have to be resilient, I thought that we deserved to win the game which was important too.โ€

Ebbsfleet sit 16th in the Vanarama National League ahead of this weekendโ€™s tie, but the table does not lie which shows just one defeat in the season so far for Daryl McMahonโ€™s side. Heath believes that if his side set up the Halifax way then it will be enough for maximum points on Saturday.

โ€œLike always, we will play our style, we always look to win games whether it be home or away. We will set up in an attacking way, we wonโ€™t be negative we will set up the way we do. We are not a team that likes to sit back, we will play our normal game and hopefully that will be enough for us to take the three points.โ€

โ€œEbbsfleet have lost just one game, they have had a lot of draws so it is up to us to make sure that we get the three points, which wonโ€™t be easy but we will do what we can to win the gameโ€ Heath, added.

Matty Kosylo has been in top quality form so far, this season despite being sent off in the away tie at Gateshead has been one of the best players of the season as we start to see the end of September. The former North Ferriby manager believes that Kosylo and Denton make a fantastic partnership.

โ€œI think he is in a rich vein of form. I think the goals are topping off which are good performances but I donโ€™t think we rely on him to score because we have Denton chipping in goals too and long may the partnership continue. We just need to keep the games coming and getting the points.โ€

Following the dismissal of central defender Scott Garner on the stroke of half time last weekend, Heath will be without his strong centre half and when asked about the position in the squad for Saturday, he spoke about his players being strong enough to step up to the role that has been left.

โ€œI think that the way Scott has been performing all season, it will be a blow but Iโ€™m sure that whoever comes in to replace him will do a good job. It is part of it, we have got everybody chomping at the bit to play some football. Scott has done really well since he came to the football club last season, but it is up to other people to step up to the plate now, pick up the batten and continue.โ€

โ€œUnfortunately, we have picked up two long term injuries so whoever comes in will need to come in and do their best. Hopefully we can go on a bit of a run now where we donโ€™t get people injured, but whatever comes we need to take it on the chin and move on.โ€

Heath on the red card โ€“ โ€œIt was a harsh one for us and very soft. We are considering it but if we donโ€™t get it rescinded then we will need to move on and get on with it.โ€

FC Halifax Town have had one of their best starts to a season since being reformed and Heath spoke about how he was not too surprised that his squad have done so well especially after just being promoted.

โ€œI think that you go into a league with a squad that has not played at this level before. But I put it down to desire, work ethic and squad harmony. They have performed magnificently.โ€

โ€œIโ€™m probably not surprised with this group because their team spirit and togetherness is huge, there is no fraction they are one unit. Whoever plays on the Saturday in the eleven plays, and those who are left out or on the bench yes they are disappointed but as I say we are all one so that is probably the key now.โ€

With the last two away trips being to the Southern end of the country, this Saturday sees another long London trip for the Town supporters. Heath gave praise and thanks for the fans that have made the trips for the last two away games.

โ€œThe support that we have had of late has been fantastic. They came to Leyton Orient and came to Dagenham it is a long way to come. The players and my staff really appreciate what the fans have done for the club it really doesnโ€™t go unthought of.โ€

After just one defeat at home this season, Billy Heath also showed his support to the home faithful who have made the MBi Shay a fortress so far, this season.

โ€œI think the support of the home games has been absolutely magnificent this season, and long may it continue. The players need it, in tough times. Especially when things arenโ€™t going for us the vocal crowd will be so vital to our season it really does push the lads on.โ€
