With FC Halifax Town making the long trip down to Ebbsfleet this Saturday. Here we’ll take look at one of their stand out performers so far, this season.

Striker Danny Kedwell is the top scorer for the Kent based side. Kedwell, who is described as a powerhouse striker and a tireless worker with second to none strength and running, has managed four goals so far for his side.

Kedwell isn’t just a goal scorer though.  The man up top was the skipper for Ebbsfleet last year, lifting the promotion trophy as fleet were promoted from the National league south via the play offs, after just missing out on top spot by two points.

Having notched up over 100 appearances for the club and scoring over 30 goals Kedwell is an experienced player at this level. The Kent born striker has also played non-league football for other various clubs as well. Scoring more than a goal a game at Welling United is where he made his breakthrough.

Since then he has played over 100 games for both AFC Wimbledon and Gillingham. He helped fire the Dons back into the football league with the winning penalty in the play-off final against Luton. While he also top scored for Gillingham the season they won the League 2 title. Proving his worth, wherever he has been.

After his spells at Wimbledon and Gillingham, Kedwell did return to non-league football signing an 18-month contract with current club and this weekend’s opponents, Ebbsfleet. After seeing this out the top scorer did sign another new contract this summer and looks to continue to score goals for Ebbsfleet for the rest of this season.
