Tonight we welcome Dover to a midweek fixture โ€“ a round trip of 550 miles according to my computer. I suppose itโ€™s no worse than our Tuesday night trips to Torquay in successive seasons recently.

As promised in the last programme, we have now announced our first Open to Question meeting of the season, and Iโ€™m delighted to say the guests are the FCHT Board of Directors. This is an opportunity for all fans to learn about the trials and tribulations of running a non โ€“ league football club, and the chance to put your own questions to the three gentlemen at the helm of our club.

The meeting, which will start with the Supporters Club AGM, is scheduled for 8pm on Thursday 24th August in the Supporters Bar at the Shay. The meeting is open to all fans, members or not.

Dave Crossley will again be running the Supporters Club programme shop beneath the East Stand before all home games this season. The stall depends entirely on donations of old programmes (and other memorabilia), so if you are clearing out your attic or garage, and discover a hoard of these, we will gladly take them off your hands. We can collect items if necessary, just get in touch.

Get behind the team tonight; maybe our support can help them get that elusive first goal!

See you soon, Kit.
